Good Fellas Club

At Expicient we believe in giving back to the community. In 2011 we initiated the Good Fellas Club (GFC) to pledge our continuing commitment towards this belief. Our motivation was fueled by the phrase, “You too can bring a smile”. The goals of the group are straightforward: to support and provide sufficient and relevant manpower to help alleviate the conditions of certain sectors of the society, specifically disadvantaged children, students and drug abuse victims.

Past Events

On the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava Day 2012, Good Fellas collected clothes and raised funds to prepare meals for Mentally Challenged People at National Institute For the Mentally Handicapped (NIMH), Bangalore.

In February 2013, to alleviate the frequent power cuts during the summer Rural India Medical and Relief Society (RIMRS), Institute for the Mentally Handicapped, Palamaner, Chittoor (Dt), Andhra Pradesh, and Good Fellas with the help of company management donated an UPS and 3 Battery. A special thanks to TMAD (To Make A Difference NGO) for coordinating this project.

In June 2013, a multi-day cloudburst centered on the North Indian state of Uttarakhand caused devastating floods and landslides in the country’s worst natural disaster since the 2004 tsunami. As of 16 July 2013, according to figures provided by the Uttarakhand government, more than 5,700 people were “presumed dead”. Good Fellas donated a sum of Rs. 25000/- towards disaster relief efforts in Uttarakhand by Round Table India Trust (RTIF). We also donated clothes towards disaster relief efforts in Uttarakhand through the GreenWood High Trust.

GFC partnered with a school run by the State Government in Bangalore, India that provides education to students who deserve quality education but cannot afford it. It was heartening to see our enthusiasm being matched by the students.

The GFC also began working closely with an NGO called DJJS in their drug eradication program. With a highly efficacious campaign conducted at Bangalore’s biggest shopping mall, several drug addicts shared their experience and took an oath to not take drugs again.

The GFC also identified some poor children struggling to survive the winter. Clothes, sweaters, blankets, and slippers were distributed to these children by visiting their homes. Toys and gifts were also distributed to small kids.

The smiles on the faces of the people we reached out to made the Good Fellas realize the fact “You too can bring a smile”.
