ExSuite™

ExSuite is a proprietary set of best practice accelerators and software libraries built based on years of experience deploying IBM/Sterling Commerce application suite. ExSuite allows our consultants to deploy business critical capabilities, faster and with much higher quality – than if a client was looking to build those features for the first time. ExSuite™ has the following components:

  • ExSniffer™
For long running projects, this is an ideal tool to generate reports which give complete visibility into the customizations & database extensions that are made
  • ExUtils™
A library of very common methods which are used in Sterling OMS implementations. This helps developers to focus on the business use cases & not worry about common utility methods

ExSniffer™

Overview

ExSniffer is a diagnostic tool designed to identify and document the extent of customizations in an existing IBM / Sterling Commerce installation instance. Often in any IBM / Sterling implementation there are many database extensions and customizations (e.g. custom APIs, database extensions, user exits, custom transactions, etc.) that go undocumented.

Benefits

  • Track all Customizations done to Sterling OMS database
  • Generate reports for all customizations or select parts of customizations on demand

Features

  • Generates reports for application management engineers as well as support staff involved in regular maintenance & upgrades of the solution.
  • Tracks the database extensions & their use in customization, services & implemented user exits.

ExUtils™

Overview

ExUtils is a library consisting of all common utilities that can be used by any IBM / Sterling developer for customization of IBM / Sterling in a typical OMS implementation. The library contains common methods for XML parsing, date/calendar processing, common inventory, pricing, payment processing related functions etc.

Benefits

  • Developers can focus on business use cases instead of basic common methods that are used in every implementation
  • Reduce implementation times by increasing code reuse
  • Increase maintainability by introducing reusable components
  • Reduce the defects in overall implementations because these methods are tested over & over again in multiple implementations
  • Reduce defects, as the developers have to write a lot less code, there is less chance of defects creeping in
